Corbyn says he 'won't support new attempt at Brexit deal'

00:46
Jeremy Corbyn has given a robust defence of Labour’s decision to try to appeal to both leavers and remainers in this Thursday’s European elections. Speaking to the BBC’s Andrew Marr, he said a referendum was an 'option', insisting: 'If there’s any future public vote, it has to be on the basis of some credible option. At the moment, there is no credible option, because parliament has not agreed on anything.' After negotiations between Corbyn’s team and the government broke down last week, Theresa May plans to give MPs a fourth vote on her Brexit deal in early June. BREXIT FURY: 'Ban me and watch my vote go UP in UK!' British MEP challenges shocked EU Parliament

04:50
British MEP Gerrard Batten warned the European Parliament a ban against him would result in the Ukip vote soaring in the UK in the event Britain is made to stand in European Parliamentary elections. The Ukip leader shocked the European Parliament with his speech in which he ridiculed European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier for working with Remainer “traitors” in Britain to scupper Brexit. During a fiery European Parliament speech, the MEP said the Brexit vote is “the only weapon the ordinary people have” as he urged Britons to vote for his party in EU elections. Mr Batten said: “Has the whole Brexit process fiasco been an elaborate conspiracy between Mrs May and the EU or is it just due to her monumental incompetence? SNP MEP Alyn Smith branded Mr Batten’s speech a “disgrace” and was greeted with a round of applause as he told MEPs: “He does not speak for the people of the United Kingdom. “He barely speaks for his own party such as it still exists". #Brexit #GerardBatten #AlynSmith

BREXIT: Nigel Farage burst out laughing as Tusk delivers brutal swipe at Verhofstadt

04:44
Brexit hardliner Nigel Farage burst out laughing in the European Parliament chamber after EU Council President Donald Tusk effectively told Guy Verfhofstaft to re-think his position and speech on Brexit after he said only the former Ukip leader could “save” the bloc from being impacted by upcoming European elections. President of the European Council Donald Tusk left Nigel Farage in stitches in the European Parliament after he sent a direct message to Guy Verhofstadt. During his speech, the European Parliament’s Brexit coordinator, Mr Verfostaft, said that only Nigel Farage can save the bloc from Brexit “poisoning” the upcoming European elections. At the very end of his speech in the chamber, Mr Tusk claimed this was enough for Mr Verhofstadt to re-think his position. #Brexit #DonaldTusk #NigelFarage #GuyVerhofstadt

Indicative Votes: round 2 | Brexit LIVE

07:05:25
BRITAIN faces a Brexit moment of truth today - with a year-long delay on the cards if MPs don't agree to get Britain out of the EU as soon as possible. The House of Commons will tonight vote on the way forward for Brexit - with MPs likely to endorse a much softer form of EU exit than Theresa May wants. The House of Commons will hold a second round of "indicative votes" from 8pm tonight after Mrs May's deal was defeated for the third time last week. They will cast votes on three or four different options - likely to include the customs union, single market, a second referendum and cancelling Brexit altogether... BREXIT - WATCH Jeremy Corbyn calling Prime Minister May "STUPID WOMAN"

22:19
00:34 Opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn has become embroiled in a sexism row after he appeared to call Theresa May a “stupid woman” following a fiery exchange at Prime Minister's Questions. Opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn was accused of being a sexist and a misogynist today after appearing to call Theresa May a "stupid woman". The Labour boss was attacked by both Tory and Labour MPs after losing his rag with the PM during PMQs. Mrs May joked at the end of the pair's exchange today: "I've got some advice for the Right Honourable Gentleman - look behind you! "They are not impressed and neither is the country!" Mr Corbyn then shook his head and muttered "stupid woman" under his breath, as a lip-reader confirmed. Health Secretary Matt Hancock said at his outburst: "The mask slips. Jeremy Corbyn's abuse of the Prime Minister shows what a reactionary misogynist he is." And Labour's Jess Phillips said it was "sexist" and he "should apologise". Furious MPs raised the matter with the Commons Speaker just minutes later. Patrick McLoughlin fumed: "Would it not be appropriate for him to come back in the Chamber and apologise?" Politicians shouted "disgrace!" and "shame!", and Tory CCHQ boss Brandon Lewis demanded he apologise. He said: "Looks shocking on the film, unacceptable in any environment." Deaf drummer Evelyn Glennie told the BBC she was very certain he had said what was claimed. But Jeremy Corbyn's spokesman insisted this afternoon he WOULDN'T say sorry, saying he'd not said that.

Brexit and the U.S.-U.K. Defense Relationship

56:47
The House of Commons has rejected the Withdrawal Agreement between Britain and the European Union proposed by Prime Minister Theresa May no fewer than three times. Public debate on this Agreement has focused on its inability to deliver the Brexit that Britain voted for in the landmark 2016 referendum because of the Agreement’s effects on trade, regulations, and the relationship between Ireland and Northern Ireland. However, the Agreement also has important intelligence, defense, and security dimensions. In his presentation, Professor Gwythian Prins, a member of the Chief of the UK Defense Staff’s Strategy Advisory Panel and emeritus research professor at the London School of Economics, will review the Agreement’s shortcomings in these dimensions and set out the risks it poses to the Anglo-American Special Relationship.

Calling the Henry VIII's break with Rome the "other Brexit", Starkey compare and contrasts Theresa May's negotiations with the EU and Henry VIII's negotiations with the Pope. His verdict is not one the P.M. would wish to hear. Moving on to English identity, we learn why the Tudors dominate England's cultural landscape -- particularly Henry VIII and Elizabeth I -- and why the British Empire is unique in having transformed its colonies/dominions into self-governing, sovereign nations. From landmark documentary series to political panel shows, David Starkey, once dubbed "the Rudest Man in Britain", never fails to make compelling television. Here, however, is an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of an important contributor to contemporary cultural discourse. .

BREXIT: Farage takes savage swipe after EU's Verhofstadt compares him to COWARDLY character

09:38
MEP Guy Verhofstadt, Brexit coordinator for the European Parliament, took a swipe at Nigel Farage’s march for Brexit in a fiery European Parliament rant in Straatsburg. Verhofstadt insisted he was “surprised” to see Farage at the European Parliament in Strasbourg and not on the pro-Brexit protest march. “But he is here. A 200-mile march. How many miles have you done – two miles? Mr Verhofstadt compared his EU Parliament rival to Field Marshall Douglas Haig from Blackadder’s final episode. The character appears in the cult classic’s final episode to dictate the war efforts from London and not the trenches alongside Rowan Atkinson’s Captain Edmund Blackadder. Nigel Farage warned the Brexit withdrawal treaty is a “slow motion betrayal” of the 2016 referendum in which 17.4 million Britons voted to leave the European Union. The hardline Brexiteer said Britain faced a “national humiliation”. “I thought what happened at the summit last week was a national humiliation, an impasse because we have Mrs May, a Prime Minister who hasn’t got the courage or who haven’t got the vision to carry out her many repeated promises. Namely, to take us out of the European Union this Friday. March 29 is not happening. Mr Farage took a savage swipe at European Council President Donald Tusk after he said the door was open to a second Brexit referendum. The former Ukip leader fired back and said: “Mr Tusk, if you think the British people have changed their minds on Brexit, you sir, are deluded because actually what we now see are opinion poll leads of 15 and in some cases nearly 20 percent in favour of leaving. “If we had another referendum, leave would win it by a bigger margin. So why put yourselves through years of agony?” #Brexit #NigelFarage #GuyVerhofstadt
