I hope this Ethereum Mining folds! Its really costing alot of money for other people to buy these things. Almost triple the price of what its worth! Not to mention electric bills in the near future. everyone's gonna have to pay more because of this crap. Thats one of the reasons i didn't buy into this crap! As always other people are gonna have to pay extra for someone else's greed!

Im started to think that luck plays a huge part on mining, because I hava a Gigabyte rx 580 Gaming 8GB one card you guys didnt considerate or maybe it could be take the same as the Auorus one, but Im getting 31.200 Mhs. Here are the specs, the card has been BIOS flash, the same memory changes as alwayd. It is reporting 73.0% of ASIC quality on HWiNFO. It is a Hynix memory. It is overclock on MSI afterburner with the next values: Core Voltage: -200 Power Limit: +0 Temp Limit: 90 Core Clock: 1200 Mem Clock: 2200 Fan Speed: 65 Reported temperature on GPUz with this values is 62c and last one it hasnt report any memory errors in HWiNFO in like 2 weeks it has been working. Oh and it is consuming 100w reported from GPUz.

I have a newb question for you. I own Shappire R9 390 and it have 2x 8pin power input but I do not understand this power of GPU's that well. There is 2 power input on my card? and do I have to use 2x 8 pin to power my card and use it? or I can use only one 8pin? In some mining rig setup I noticed people used only 1 single 8pin to power and another one was left blank?. Kindly please explain me this. I am very dumb.

Hi, I connect only one GPU and I have 27.7mhz, I tested the 6 gpu individually and they are all in that value. But when I put them all together to work in my rig, they all go down to 24. Why?? or What is problem? Thank you

Hi, I have 3x Nitro+ Limited ed rx580 and 1 powercolor red dragon rx580, so a 4Gpu rig but I only get 81mh/s in total. That is 19/20 mhs per card. They are brand new, just finished building the rig. Any idea why? Thanks

When is the the update coming out with the final test? I have the sapphire nitro + RX 580 limited edition with crimson relive 17.5.1 driver and the 1325 core and 2250 men clock. I can not seem to get any higher hash rate than 27 MH/s Can you please help me. I 2 weeks ago I was able to archive 30 MH/s with this exact card and settings now I can't get higher than 27 what happened?
Cloud79 (1 year ago)
Starting my 1st rig, in term of performance (MH/s) will there a big difference between the Sapphire Nitro RX 580 8G Limited Ed. Vs the normal edition? I see that after fine tuning the GPU was able to reach the 31 MH/s while the GPU clock is at 1350Mhz...which the normal edition can reach as well even if its highest boost clock is not 1450 Mhz like the Limited edition. Where I'm from electricity is pretty cheap, so wattage is not a issue. GPU are scarce and there a difference of 60$x6 Total: 360$.... so I really want to control the budget.
Cloud79 (1 year ago)
Would definitely want the Samsung RAM....first is thought is was only available on the Limited Edition but I've seen BIOS mod postings from a Sapphire Nitro+ where Tech PowerUp GPU has shown Samsung RAM...so I guess there's no way for find out until you unbox the GPU
Beyond The Routine (1 year ago)
You should do fine with most Sapphire Nitro+ GPUs. Just make sure first thing you check (on each GPU) is the RAM info, some batch uses Hynix RAM while others may use Samsung RAM.

CuMonTV (1 year ago)
What the difference with 4GB and 8GB? Because only 4GB available in my country. The 8GB one was sold out
CuMonTV (1 year ago)
I see. Thankyou so much bro, I appreciate it. All best bro, God bless u
Beyond The Routine (1 year ago)
no, a modded card will get you about 27 MH/s, and then you have to overclock the vRAM and underclock the core voltage and core clock to bring the power consumption (and heat essentially) down.
CuMonTV (1 year ago)
My supplier told me this card is mining edition, they told me its mod bios already. Are they any difference on Hashrate between 4GB and 8GB one? Im expecting to get 30MHs. Is that possible? Thankyou so much for ur reply.
Beyond The Routine (1 year ago)
the main difference between 4GB and 8GB are the vRAM timing in the bios, and you have to modify different timing value based on the type and amount of vRAM your GPU comes with.

I've watched the video. A 30% decrease + more miners joining + the mining difficulty increasing will have a major impact if it takes place upon income in the next 5 months. Perhaps 50%, I hope not, but it seems that way.

Ok so I already asked this on your other video but in this video I remember you saying around 12:30 that you mod the bios to specific settings .. I assume this is your memory clock and Core clock settings? can you show where this is in Polaris !!! :))))) Help with this would be SO much appreciated
K Drew (1 year ago)
Awesome! for some reason I cannot find how to do this on youtube at the moment. If anyone has a video on how to do this can you share a link? or ill patiently wait until BTR makes part 2
Beyond The Routine (1 year ago)
yes, so we made a video recently (part 1 of 2) of how to mod and flash bios for mining :https://youtu.be/lS9HQjIwrRM And in part 2 of this (to be published in the near future) we will show exactly how to mod other settings in Polaris Bios Editor so you don't have to adjust voltage/clock settings in any other programs, so stay tuned!

heatsink has to do with temperature and longevity of the GPU, but yes it is possible
blueline44 (1 year ago)
So if the memory is from Samsung it should be possible? Because the heatsink is slightly smaller.

technically, yes, but it does come down to the memory.

xdragonhaterx (1 year ago)
I'm going in to mining now and I'm wondering if I know everithing. Can you correct me if something I say is wrong, if I need to add something or if you have any tips. I need: - a motherboard that supports 6 GPUs (6 PSI-E slots) - a procesor that fits the motherboard and a procesor cooler (CHEAP) - RAM (Is 4GB good or should I get 8GB?)(CHEAP) - harddrive/SSD (SSD is probably the best, don't know how big it should be)(CHEAP)(cables to connect it to motherboard and PSU, are they usually included or do I need to buy them seperatly) - PSU (need at least 1000W, some people suggest 1200W)(need's good efficiency)(are enough cables usually included or do I have to buy extra) - GPU (good Mh/s, good power efficiency,, good cooling) - PSI-E risers (from big slots(16x) to small(1x) slots)(are enough cables usually included or do I need to buy extra, for connecting to motherboard and to PSU unit) - mining rig case (will probably improvise) If i need to buy anything else please tell me. As for the system I'm thinking of Windows 10 (does it need to be bought or can cracked do) and Claymore's dual miner. I don't really know how to activate the miner. Do you have any guides on it or suggest any guide? What currency do you suggest i dual mine with Ethereum? And what wallet do you suggest? I'm sorry this was so long and I know I'm asking a lot from you, but you guys give really good advice and reply really quickly.
Peter A (1 year ago)
It even worth to dual mine? Because every time I tried lets say i get 30 mh solo mining ETH< i try to dual mine ETH and something else my hash rate goes down for ETH and i tried to get up with the dcri settings etc +/- but wont reach near 30 whatsoever again :(
Beyond The Routine (1 year ago)
yes a mobo with 6 PCI-E slots, with a compatible processor, 4 to 8GB of compatible RAM, 60+GB SSD, a PSU of 1000W for RX 470/RX570 or 1200W+ for RX 480/RX 580, 80Plus Gold rated or better, with your choice of GPUs, Powered risers, and a case of some kind. The PSU will list how many VGA it supports and will usually come with enough cables to support that number of VGAs. Windows 10 is fine, just make sure once you have the correct display driver installed to prevent Windows from installing new display drivers. We are making a guide from start to finish, multi parts, to teach people how to mine. We suggest dual mine with Ethereum, and the fastest way to setup a wallet is to register at one of the major exchanges such as Coinbase.

Sire One Question Do you Know the current Size of DAG for Ethereum and ETC? Wanted to Know how long we will be able to mine with 4 gig GPUs
Beyond The Routine (1 year ago)
should be, there hasn't been much talk about taking ETC to PoS...
Bene88 (1 year ago)
Thank you Bro for Replay, but ETC will be still POW right?
Beyond The Routine (1 year ago)
you will be able to mine with 4GB cards until Q1 of 2019, although there is a good chance PoS will happen way before then.
ralph acda (1 year ago)
so may I ask which one so far is the best performing one? Thanks
Peter A (1 year ago)
Question. Is a EVGA GQ 1000w fine to run 6 GPUs or just 6? Not sure if 1000w is enough for 6 :(
Peter A (1 year ago)
Beyond The Routine what about if it is 6 rx570s instead? Or do they use same wattage? :(
Peter A (1 year ago)
Beyond The Routine guess I'll stick with 5 then. Thanks guys!!!
Beyond The Routine (1 year ago)
It depends on which model of video cards are in the rig. For 6x RX 580, 1000W is not enough.
Peter A (1 year ago)
By the way another few good videos to make would be, How to Flash Bios etc, I think you could fit all that into 1 video since I heard its the same for all models of rx570s and same for rx580s etc. Another thing would be undervolting to use less wattage and still geta good hash rate. (something I"m having trouble with as well myself lately. and lastly a 3rd great vid would be dual mining (or more like 5-6 videos) Because rx 570s/580s can dual mine and supposedly it doesnt reduce ETH hash rate but Mine was reduced when I tried dual mining so not sure what the issue is sadly :/
Peter A (1 year ago)
Beyond The Routine making all those vids will help kick you to 5k-10k subs in no time!!!
Beyond The Routine (1 year ago)
all great suggestions, thanks Peter

My Sapphire nitro + does almost 32 Mh/s without any work (simple modding and overclocking) Red devil gold 8 GB does barely above 30.2 MH/s (samsung memory) Sapphire Nitro + 8GB is the way to go. My sapphire nitro did the same stock speeds as you reported but the mods it took were great compared to others. Hynix memory
Beyond The Routine (1 year ago)
you should show us your "simple modding and overclocking" settings and which model/series your Nitro+ 8GB is. We do our channel not to brag about speed, but to hopefully help people who are trying to achieve faster hashrate, and we would appreciate it if you can show everyone how to obtain stable 32 MH/s mining (Ethereum) with your Sapphire Nitro+.
diego guerrero (1 year ago)
hello, it is really good your channel. Do yuo have the mod configuration for sapphire 4gb rx580 pulse oc with hynix memory ?
D J (1 year ago)
I ended up grabbing some of XFX GTR black edition, in another comment you mentioned you can get gpu with 8 & 6 pin to run from just a single 8pin, how do you go about doing that? As always great content love your videos
D J (1 year ago)
Is there anything I need to change or set for them to work on just the single 8 pin? I tried and there is led's under each part they are blue when connected, and red if I don't connect. When I connect with just 1 8-pin it says no GPU found
Beyond The Routine (1 year ago)
you really only need to supply power to the 8-pin. Case and point, the ASUS ROG Strix RX 580 T8G Top OC Edition 8GB only has 1 8-pin power input. We've tested all the cards which more than just 1 8-pin power input and they all work with just power to the 8-pin.

I'm mining ETH with the RX 580. If PoW ends at this moment, which altcoins do you recommend to mine with this video card?
Beyond The Routine (1 year ago)
there are several we would suggest, like Monero, Dash, ZCash, SiaCoin, etc.

rx 580 nitro + 8gb LE but my VRAM is Hynix Can i reach 29 or 30mh ETH ?
Beyond The Routine (1 year ago)
yes, follow the same procedure in part 5 of 7, option 1 or 2 (both options work), which is on XFX with Hynix and is applicable to the Nitro+ 8GB LE.
Sam K (1 year ago)
Would a 1200Watt Gold PSU be sufficient for 6 580's ?
Beyond The Routine (1 year ago)
not without undervolting the 580s

yes you will have no issues mining them with 580s
Sam K (1 year ago)
Hey, great YouTube channel, I love how informative you are, you deserve many more subscribers and viewers, the best of luck! I was wondering if the GB of the actual card has any affect on how many mh/s you get, or any effect in general, could you please explain? and would you say that this card is the better of all seven? Thank you !
Sam K (1 year ago)
Perfect, thank you, does Ram also have any affect on the mining? And what would you say the best crypto right now to mine with ethereum would be? I was thinking LBC, thoughts? :)
Beyond The Routine (1 year ago)
THe Sapphire Nitro+ Limited Edition does seem like it could be the winner of the bunch, but we will do a full reveal soon. The amount of RAM really has little to do with hashrate (as long as it's 4GB or more due to DAG file), and more to do with resell value and desirability. We can make any 4GB or 8GB RX 480/580 to mine at 28-31 MH/s without much issues. But, perhaps it has to do with the timing being much tighter on the modded 4GB cards, I find the 8GB cards easier to work with.
xdragonhaterx (1 year ago)
What sistem (windows, linux) do you use on you mining rigs? What program do you use to mine? I heard about ethOS and claymore's dual mining. Do you use any of these or do you use another one.
Beyond The Routine (1 year ago)
We use Windows and Claymore Dualmining. We also use simple mining OS on a few rigs.

that is the NVIDIA dedicated mining GPU set to release near the end of June, and does not have any ports and cannot game. The detail specs are not yet available but should be modeled after the 1060 and the 1080. There are pros and cons to this option, which we will be covering in an upcoming video.
A Broad (1 year ago)
I'm new here, but can anyone tell me what the mining advantage is for a 4gb card compared to an 8gb card? Are the 560 models not even worth the time to consider since the 580's and 570s are hard to come by? Thanks!
A Broad (1 year ago)
Beyond The Routine sounds great! You guys are topshelf in quality of info and in presentation when it comes to this topic, keep up the good work!
Beyond The Routine (1 year ago)
funny you should ask, we are in the middle of making a video on RX 460 and 560, don't want to ruin the surprise, but keep an eye out for that video in the next 24 hours
Doc Chronic (1 year ago)
I'm not that impressed tbh. I got a regular nitro+ 4g and I get 30 mhs dualmining on 97 watts AND its hynix memory with a mediocre 72% ASIC.
Beyond The Routine (1 year ago)
should be just happy that you and all the Sapphire owners can get good hashrate. This card (the limited edition) will really shine in dual mining because of its ability to handle higher core clock.
Leo (1 year ago)
Considering the lower voltage range of the 480, is it better to first flash an 580 to a 480 bios?
Beyond The Routine (1 year ago)
or you can just lower the core voltage of a 580 via Wattman to a lower number, the 580s handle undervolting pretty well.

idk what i did but i was able to get like 29.4mh out of it 1165gpu and 2050 mclock, (idfk what cvddc or mvddc is :o ) currently dual mining though 5 cards ( getting 144 or so mh and about 1400 mh on siacoin so not all too bad lol)

Copy 2:1750 to 2:2000, then set caymore params to -cclock 1130 -mclock 2150 -cvddc 850 -mvddc 850. That got me to 30.5 mhs, stable at 50-56C. (580 nitro+ 4gb hynix)

What is that bios switch? Do you need to have it turned on to be able to configure bios? I know that even if you buy the same GPU that there are some diffrences betwen them. Would configuring bios and overclocking only 1 GPU and then just do the same on other GPUs be good or is it better to configure bios and overclock each GPU again?

We'v been making one, once it is ready we will publish it
xdragonhaterx (1 year ago)
Can you make an advanced guide about confuguring GPUs? Or do you have 1 already?
Beyond The Routine (1 year ago)
it's better to configure each card individually as they may behave differently even within the same batch. The bios switch tells us that the card has dual bios, you only needs to mod one of them, so if you want to game with original bios you can just flip the switch (while the computer is off) and boot to an unmodded bios.

Yes please do show us the bios mod for this card as I just picked up 3(i got lucky finding them). Thing is I noticed right out of the box on all 3 I got, the bios switch was already in the forward position towards the end of the card where the plugs are. In the past, all my Rx 480's had the bios switches in the other position, I would then flip the switch forward in order to bios mod. I find it wierd my 580's already had the switch flipped. Was yours like this as well?
Rain Bitcoins (1 year ago)
Ahh OK... Thx
Beyond The Routine (1 year ago)
we do it while the switch is towards the power input side of the card
Rain Bitcoins (1 year ago)
Beyond The Routine thanks for getting back to me. So, when you reprogrammed the bios, did you do it with the switch in the forward position, or in its original position?
Beyond The Routine (1 year ago)
that was the case for us as well, in fact lately all the cards we got with the bios switch has it in the position towards the end of the card, I guess the manufacturers knows :)

do reviews on the 560s etc, will be really good to see if worth getting. price is half of what a 580 is, hash rate i think is half if u mod it, but im not sure about power usage, :(
asnms (1 year ago)
if it is so limited and me as consumer dont get  it ,I dont see the  point of reviewing it.
Rain Bitcoins (1 year ago)
