Does your strawberry tower freeze out or does it come back in the spring. I am wanting to do one in Colorado so if yours is surviving my should too.

Larry,  I have been using your recipe for potting soil for a few years now. It is the best I have ever used. I use it for outdoor and indoor plants with great success. Thank You, John

Dang, most of what you grow I cannot eat, or my skin has problems that get worse.  The kale is something I can eat, so needless to say I would want to see more greens and beans growing and learn if they need anything different in care, or other issues.  I cannot help but think this concept is a good cross between raised beds and hydroponics.  It makes sense from my memories of how well things grew over a septic tank drainfield.  Of course I like the hybrid ideas that look like a cross between a shallow fish pool and a floating, or elevated raised bed.  I suspect others have put a raised bed in a shallow pool of water already, but I need to find the examples.  Mosquitos are a serious issue here, so the shallow pool would need to be full of sand, or pebbles.  I am also thinking ferrocement instead of wood to get around the rotting issue.  Anyone doing this?
